Classes


Classes at BSHC are taught by Parent-Volunteers only. Classes depend on interest and availability of teachers. Classes are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Classes for the Fall 2019

Drama/Acting
Open to all ages. Acting Class 2! A play will be put on and each week the students will work on their play and learning their lines.

Backstage & Props
This class is open to all ages. This class will be the mate to Drama/Acting. The students will create the props and other backstage elements that the play will need. Depending on complexity and materials, the student may also create parts of the costumes. If times permits, other crafts may be done.

First Aid
Open to students in 5th grade + Students will learn the basics of first aid based on the Boy Scout First Aid Merit Badge.

Fairy Tales & Crafts
Open to elementary ages. A class that will read different stories and create crafts or projects based on the books.

Around the World
Open to elementary ages. Students will learn about different countries from around the world and then sample the cuisine found there.

Nursery & Preschool
Teachers: Multiple Parents
For our youngest members aged 0 - 5. This will focus on learning through exploration and play under the watchful eye of other mothers with little ones. At least one mom will be in the class during both hours, and others will assist her. 

 Knitting Club & Fiber Fun
Throughout the semester student will be encouraged to work on their individual knitting projects. As a class we will attempt the following: dip-dying wool, yarn, re purpose materials bag/purse, silk painting, beginner crochet projects. This class is offered in both hours.
